All workshops will take place at the
Leawood Community Center, lower level of City Hall.
If courses are not able to be held in-person,
virtual sessions will be offered.

Preparing for a Musical Audition
January 23, 2021
In this introductory course, participants will learn how to
select an audition song, what songs to avoid, how to cut
and prepare sheet music, and learn the tricks that can
best prepare you to audition for musical theatre.
Conquering the Audition
January 30, 2021
Participants will learn the best practices in auditioning for
musical theatre including working with an accompanist,
how to "sell" a song, and the top things that directors look
for in auditions. Participants for this class should come
prepared with a 16-to-32-bar cutting of an audition song
from a musical. (Please enroll in the first class if you do
not have an audition song).
Winning the Call-Back
February 6, 2021
Learn tips and techniques to help you feel comfortable
and confident in the call-back process. This workshop
will cover how to prepare for both acting and singing
call-backs as well as the director's perspective in casting
decisions.
