2022 Spring - Summer Program Guide - Flipbook - Page 3
WELCOME
to the new format for the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Activities Guide!
As we remain in these uncertain times due to COVID-19, the Department is changing up
the presentation of the activities we will be offering. As always, we provide programs and
activities for all ages as well as our beautiful parks and trails.
As you browse the guide, I hope that you will see something listed that will be of interest.
If so, please check our website at www.leawood.org for up-to-date information on classes,
programs and additional program offerings, some of which may be virtual.
Many of the upcoming activities will be held outdoors, in a facility large enough to social
distance or via sessions to meet gathering limitations.
Much appreciation to our team of professionals who have worked very hard to keep things
open and ongoing when possible. Your ingenuity and dedication have made a true difference.
In closing, I want to thank all of you who have participated with us over the last four months,
especially Leawood residents, for your patience and understanding as we worked through
the process of making our activities enjoyable
and safe for everyone.
Until next time, be well, stay safe and have fun!
Have Fun!
Sincerely,
Chris Claxton, Director
