Park Hours • Apr 1 - Sept 30 • 6 am -11 pm | Oct 1 - Mar 31 • 7 am -9 pm
All trails within the City of Leawood shall be closed 30 minutes after sunset
until 30 minutes before sunrise all year long. Shelter Reservations begin Jan 4, 2021.
Facility Permits/Shelter Reservations
A variety of shelters are available for use by the
public within the City’s park & trail system. All shelters
must be reserved by obtaining a facility permit for the
exclusive use of a specific facility for a given date and time.
Please check the website for additional rental facilities.
An approved Special Event Use Application is required
when utilizing outside vendors, caterers, or deliveries
to any shelter. An application is available online or
by contacting the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts
Department. Applications must be completed forty-five
(45) days prior to the event.

Trail Etiquette
• Be friendly and courteous.
• Ride, walk, or run on the right. Pass on the left.
• Bicycles must not exceed 10 mph. Trail is not
designed for high speeds.
• Ride single file. Stay to the right of white striping.
• Warn people when you are planning to pass. A
typical warning would be “on your left” or “on
your right”.
• Anticipate other trail users around corners and
blind spots.
• Use caution when using headphones.
• Dogs must be kept on leashes and under control.
•
Please clean-up after your pet(s). Bags and
receptacles are provided for your convenience.
