Warm & Cozy Apple
Cider Hot Toddy
Enjoying a hot drink by the fire while listening to vinyl records is a quintessential winter
activity that combines the warmth of the fire, the comfort of the drink, and the nostalgia of
the music. The sour notes of the apple cider and lemon, combined with the kick of the whiskey
and the aromatic spices, create a sensory experience that warms up the body and the soul in
this cozy apple cider hot toddy. Whether it is a classic jazz album or a soulful blues record,
listening to vinyl adds an extra layer of charm, as the pops and cracks of the fire create a
unique holiday soundscape.

4oz (1/2 cup) apple cider
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons honey
1 cinnamon stick
2oz (1/4 cup) bourbon
Combine apple cider, lemon juice, honey, and
cinnamon stick in a small saucepan. Bring to a
boil over medium-low heat, then reduce heat
and simmer for about five minutes. Remove
from heat, stir in the bourbon, and serve
immediately.
To make this for a gathering, use the following
measurements: 1/2 gallon apple cider, 1/4 cup
lemon juice, 2/3 cup honey, 4 cinnamon
sticks, 1 fifth bottle of bourbon. This makes 16
drinks. You can easily keep this simmering on
the stove with a ladle and mugs nearby, or
pour into a slow cooker and let cook on high
for two hours before serving. Cheers!
