Transport Access Program 3 (TAP3)
Following on from TAP2, which was completed in
2018, TAP3 will see Laing O’Rourke deliver upgrades
to five stations along the Sydney rail network.
It comes as part of the third stage to a $2bn AUD
commitment to delivering safe, modern accessible
public transport across New South Wales. Taking
bold moves to transform the industry and shift client
expectations, Laing O’Rourke has also committed
to delivering the project with a team that has a 50/50
gender representation, providing the option of all roles
to be flexible, and striving for a fully digital office.
Armadale Road to North Lake Road
Bridge project, WA
Residential
The residential business is currently
in discussion on multiple early works
contracts for 2020 in both London and
Manchester, as Laing O’Rourke aims
to support the increasing demands
of the UK housing market.
By engaging with the client organisations
early on in the design stage, these
high-end residential projects reflect
LOR’s ability to disrupt the sector offering productivity and certainty in
a competitive market, through digital
engineering, off site manufacturing
and a 360-degree offer.
This infrastructure project will establish a strategic
freight route and create one of the main eastwest links within the Perth metropolitan transport
network. The upgrade forms part of a $2.3bn AUD
investment in the state’s road and rail infrastructure
and will include a bridge over the Kwinana Freeway
to improve efficiency and eliminate congestion from
more than 27,000 vehicles per day.
Flinders Link, SA
Gateway South in Adelaide is a Laing O’Rourke
Fulton Hogan joint venture rail project, which
will be part of a major transport infrastructure
development, linking to the Darlington Upgrade –
a 3.3km road link which has benefits for commuters
and the economy in Southern Australia.
Parramatta Light Rail
The Parramatta Light Rail project will see the
construction of a new 12km light rail line from
Westmead to Carlingford, servicing a growing
Western Sydney. Laing O’Rourke will deliver the
stabling and maintenance facility, and the aboveground fit-out of 16 light rail stops in Stage 1 of this
major infrastructure project in Western Sydney.
South Quay Plaza 4
Laing O’Rourke’s 20-year legacy
in London’s Canary Wharf financial
district continues, in partnership with
The Berkeley Group. Following on from
the completion of the award-winning
South Quay Plaza 1, a 68-storey structure
comprising 888 homes, SQP4 will be
another landmark project in the ongoing
redevelopment of the South Dock and
surrounding areas.
South East Program Alliance (SEPA), Victoria
SEPA is a program alliance comprising
Laing O’Rourke, design partner Jacobs, the rail
operator Metro Trains Melbourne and the Level
Crossing Removal Project (LXRP). SEPA is one of
the largest rail infrastructure projects in Victoria’s
history, and one of five program alliances working
with LXRP to remove up to 75 level crossings in the
region by 2025.
