BACK IN THE PILBARA
We’re back in the remote Pilbara region
of Western Australia, after securing
several new projects for Rio Tinto and
BHP. The Australian Resources sector
is really heating up, with new projects
in excess of $65bn on the cards over
the next five years.
Work began in October 2019, when
a team of 650 people successfully
delivered the mining company
Rio Tinto’s biggest major shut down.
After months of preparation, they
delivered critical works to 57km of
Rio Tinto’s existing tracks, including
track renewal, turnout renewal,
bridge deck repair and tamping.
