MADRA ANNUAL ART AUCTION, 2021
Thank you
We are very proud to introduce our MADRA Annual Art Auction online catalogue for 2021,
featuring fabulous works of art. These pieces will be available to purchase online pre-registration is essential via the link on www.madra.ie, and bids are accepted between
Thursday, November 25th, and 5pm on Monday, November 29th. You will be notified if your bid
has been outbid by another person, and you may amend your bid if you wish. The highest
bidders will then be notified on Monday, with online payments accepted. The charity art auction
hopes to raise substantial funds to help MADRA Dog Rescue continue its work of rescuing and
finding new homes for unwanted, neglected and abandoned dogs. This event is only possible
thanks to the overwhelming generosity of all the artists involved, who have selflessly donated
their artwork for sale, free of charge - their invaluable support is greatly appreciated.
Founded in 2005, MADRA Dog Rescue has grown to become one of the largest volunteer-led
dog rescues in the west of Ireland, with an average of 400-500 dogs rehomed annually. We
depend on our few but incredible staff and a compassionate, dedicated team of MADRA
volunteers, who are the backbone of our charity.
We would like to sincerely thank each and every person who has contributed their time and
expertise in planning this event - their generosity is incredible, and the funds raised will
contribute to the running costs involved in MADRA Dog Rescue, such as: food, shelter,
rehabilitation, training and veterinary costs.
We would also like to extend a special word of gratitude to the following:
● The incredible generosity of all the artists who kindly donated their artwork
● The Frame Shop, Liosban Estate, Tuam Road, Galway, for co-sponsoring some of the
fabulous frames
● Seamus O’Keeffe for his endless, miscellaneous co-ordinating duties
● Graphic designer Shirley Hope-Sweeney, for her stunning poster design
● Patrice McDonnell and Cillian Mc Donnell, for designing our online catalogue
● Anne Marie Kavanagh for co-ordinating much of the preparation work
