MILTON SENHORITA ET – 16 YEARS
OF MEMORIES AND A LEGACY THAT
LIVES ON …
On the 28th December 2021 after her sixteenth Christmas
in Clonagh we said a sad goodbye to one of our all time
favourite cows, Milton Senhorita.
enhorita, or “Spot” or “Spud” depending
on who was talking about her was bred
in Bandon by John and Sandra Stone, an
ET daughter of their top breeding cow,
Milton Hilary sired by Rosten Barney.
Hilary had previously bred the National Livestock
Show Female Champion and record priced
heifer Milton Majesty selling for €21,000 and was
subsequently 昀氀ushed to Rosten Barney. Senhorita
was the youngest of 昀椀ve full sisters born in 2005, all
of whom were offered for sale at the Milton herd
production sale in Tullamore Mart that autumn.
Little Spot was just 28 days old on the day of the

sale and was purchased for €4,000 along with her
recipient dam. A call was made by the underbidder
the following day offering double but thankfully it
was a no brainer, she was now part of the Clonagh
family and here she would stay forever.
We were fortune to purchase two more full sister
over the years, “Milton Sapphire” in 2007 from
the late Phelim Coyle and ” Milton Francesca” was
purchased at the Premier Sale in Roscommon in
2015.
