A well-rounded educa琀椀on includes a wide variety of opportuni琀椀es.
Military Commitment Ceremony! Mentor Schools teamed-up with the local VFW and American Legion posts to develop a
program to honor Mentor High School seniors who plan to join the military a昀琀er high school. The annual event is named the
Koman-Spreng-Zonneville Military Commitment Ceremony to honor three local veterans instrumental in star}ng the
program. Three seniors were recognized in the 2023 event, commi琀�ng to various branches of the military.
>> Students at all levels (elementary, middle and high school) have the opportunity to par}cipate in student government through student
council and other ac}vi}es where o昀케cers are elected.
>> Mentor High School students host an annual Model United Na}ons conference, invi}ng schools from all across Northeast Ohio for compe}}on in the crisis simula}on event. Addi}onally, MHS students assist with the Model UN program at our middle schools.
>> Mentor High School is home to a very successful Speech &
Debate Team! Student regularly qualify for the OSDA State
Tournament and many have also represented MHS in the
Speech & Debate Associa}on’s Na}onal Tournament in World
Schools Debate.
>> More than 100 Mentor High School students are members
of the Na}onal Honor Society and more than 100 middle
school students are members of the Na}onal Junior Honor
Society.
>> Student Ambassadors are chosen at the elementary and
middle school level to set a posi}ve example and work with
peers to accomplish school goals. Students can also par}cipate
in Safety Patrol at all of our elementary schools.
>> Students at the elementary school level can par}cipate in
a昀琀erschool ac}vi}es, such as Just Run, Art Club, and
Robo}cs—to name a few.

Tri County Spelling Bee champion }tle, which quali昀椀ed her to compete in the
renowned Scripps Na}onal Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.!
