Dear Mr. Goltiao,
Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the RFP process for Suisun City’s
Project Based Voucher program.
As you are aware, Almond Gardens apartments are in a state of disrepair and need
to be entirely replaced. I have proposed a project that replaces the existing 52 units,
some of which are no longer habitable, with 99 new units, thereby preserving and
increasing the supply of affordable housing.
At this time the only viable sources of financing for this project are the Federal Tax
Credit and State HCD funding. In order to have a good chance of receiving tax credits
in a highly competitive process, the provisions of 96 project based vouchers is
extremely crucial.
I realize there are more requirements that need to be met. If this project is
selected, I plan on teaming with a qualified non-profit corporation to be part of this
project.
