DOHENY CAMPUS
When Countess Estelle
Doheny died in 1958,
she left her Chester Place
estate to the archdiocese
in support of Catholic
education. Mount Saint
Mary’s opened its downtown
campus in the fall of
1962, offering two-year
Associate of Arts degrees
aimed at students in the
community. The Graduate
Program (1955) was also
relocated there from the
Chalon Campus.
