Our warm welcome to the delegates, guests, and speakers especially to those who came all the way from the Philippines to attend
the 35th Annual Professional Development Convention of NCPACA in the beautiful township of Teaneck, New Jersey. To our
leaders and members who cannot attend this year convention, we will miss you. We hope to see you at our live convention next
year.
UPDATE! NCPACA has gone global, now also known as NCPACA Global.
Let me be the first to congratulate and recognize the incredible efforts of our Host Chapter, New Jersey for hosting our Live Event,
Year 3 of the Pandemic. I highly commend New Jersey President Mavelle Lopez, and NCPACA RVP, Essie Claveria, our EVP Elect,
Chair and Overall Chair respectively, and their committee team for the many months of planning, and very well-organized
preparation. I am extremely amazed at all this preparation despite the current pandemic. Most of us got Covid and still managed
to prepare reports and faithfully attend our monthly meetings despite many hurdles. The dedication and hard work of each of
our leaders are truly commendable and admirable. I am so fortunate to work with our young emerging and seasoned leaders to
witness their teamwork and camaraderie, working harmoniously with utmost respect to each and every one.
I can’t thank God enough for giving me the opportunity to be part of the New Jersey Dream Team. My million thanks to one of our
advisors, Ms. Nora Galleros, Past President, for overseeing the planning with excellent results. My best compliment to our tireless
RVP Chair, Nanie Enriquez, who rocked the world to gather the scholarship funds from our leaders, members and friends with
generous hearts for CPA review class for National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA). Most of all,
my deepest appreciation to our Chairman of the Board, Marlo Mallari, the Board of Directors, Executive Officers and Committee
Members for their commitment and dedication, you are my wings and my inspiration.
Our convention theme, “Harnessing Collective Efforts, Embracing the New Normal” signifies how we rely and harness the
collective efforts of our team and businesses to pull us through in a difficult time. We now face the new challenges of our new
normal environment in and outside our workplace. Working remotely from home or even out in other parts of the world, getting
our CPE online or virtual, meetings with our clients, associates, and friends on Zoom.
Remember this, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun”.
Surviving these new challenges and experiences of the new normal will leave us stronger.
My sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our Corporate Sponsors, to all our Chapter leaders, members, families and friends for
their collaborative efforts to make this “Live Event” a reality. Our profound thanks to all our advisors and legal counsels (our
Yoda) for your unending support and words of wisdom. I'm very excited to see all familiar faces in person and give everyone a big
hug.
Congratulations on our 35th Annual Professional Development Convention. Let's gather, learn, enjoy, dance, sing, and have lots of
fun!
.
God bless us all. I love you.
