NATIONAL COUNCIL OF PHILIPPINE
AMERICAN CANADIAN ACCOUNTANTS, INC.
Welcome to our 35 th NCPACA Convention!
This year’s theme “Harnessing Collective Efforts, Embracing the New Normal” is quite fitting as
it solidifies what we are all doing as we continue to adapt to the effects of the global pandemic,
we are still in.
I believe the pandemic made us all realize that things can go differently in an instant and living
our lives as if today is our last day is much more important than anything else. This new
normal is what it should have been in the first place and so let us embrace it with a feeling of
gratitude. We should be thankful of this awakening brought by the pandemic as I believe we
are now living our lives in a more meaningful way.
Last year’s fully virtual convention proved our strong belief and commitment to NCPACA’s
mission despite the restrictions and challenges of not being in person together. This year, I am
incredibly grateful, and we should all feel blessed that finally, we are able to gather and
celebrate together!
The foundation of unity and collaboration NCPACA has built through out all these years
among the chapters and members crossing multi-generations helped us accept and embrace
our new normal. The strong bond and relationships formed among us makes it easy to harness
our collective efforts so we can continue to meet our mission. Congratulations to all of us and
let us celebrate this restart after about two years of not being together!
To my fellow councilors, thank you for your cooperation and excitement as we also added
activities for us in this convention to share our insights and mentorship to our tomorrow’s
leaders. To our members, on behalf of the councilors, we want to assure you that we are here
for you. Harness also our collective years of knowledge and experience.
Maraming salamat to our conference leaders – AFAA-New Jersey and to the volunteers for
their time and talent in making this convention possible.
May we all feel revived, excited and inspired to achieve NCPACA’s mission of continuing
education, scholarship, promotion of our profession as Filipino professionals, community
involvement and assistance, and celebrating and promoting our Philippine culture and
identity. Let us all enjoy this special opportunity and leave with enhanced drive and
commitment to NCPACA!
