2018: A YEAR IN REVIEW | VICE-CHANCELLOR’S OVERVIEW
In 2018:
1 004 students were provided with
UCT GAP funding.

and postgraduate level were
assisted by corporates at a cost of
R288 million.
In excess of R310 million (unaudited)

funding, assisting 4 547 students.
The university received donations to
the value of R404 million in the

Discipline and good governance
continue to be the basis for UCT’s
financial operations. Through this
philosophy we have successfully
managed to bring stability to our
finances. We continue to work
hard to deliver on our strategic
goals in order to promote ongoing
operational efficiency.
