REFORM OF BUSINESS LICENCE ADMINISTRATION.
Consideration was given to the proposals contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-63, dated, 1st March, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs, in
relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided that:-
•
recommendation 3.1. be approved, subject to
flexibility in agencies joining database;
recommendations 3.2 and 3.3 be deferred;
recommendation 3.4, to require all licensing
bodies to fully co-operate;
the amendments and undertakings agreed to in
letters from the Minister for Business and
Consumer Affairs of 30th March, 1989, 3rd April,
1989, and 6th April, 1989, be endorsed.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

POLICE REGULATION (FALSE SECURITY ALARMS)
BILL, 1989.
AMENDMENT
Approval was given to the provisions of the Police
Regulation (False Security Alarms) Amendment Bill, 1989,
as summarised in Cabinet Minute 89-114, dated 4th April,
1989, submitted by the Minister for Police and Emergency
Services in relation to this matter, subject to the
deletion of the words:"prescribed person" from Clause 3, Section 35A.

Department (Transit Police) Bill, 1989,
Cabinet Minute 89-118, dated 6th April,
by the Minster for Police and Emergency
