BURKE WARD:
Fencing.
The following is an extract from a report
furnished by the Public ;forks Department on the 14th
January, 1941, SB.40/4404:It ,z
I-).
Fencinn.
The boundary fences which are of galv. corr.
iron are in fair order and will only require repairs
in places, but the dividing fences which are also of
iron are extremely bad and a source of danger as
several panels have fallen and others are liable to
fall, and may catch a child, causing injury. All
the posts practically have rotted off and must be
pulled down.
Some division between areas is necessary and
it is proposed to erect post and rail and chain wire
fences which will permit of sand blowing right across
the playground instead of banking up as it does at
present against the iron causing considerable trouble.
The cost of fencing as proposed is estimated at £160
and is essential."
