This is the forerunner of the Police Gazette. It is
a printed publication, which was issued weekly to
all police stations and contains details of crimes
committed, wanted criminals, descriptions of
stolen property and other police notices.
Police Gazettes (printed), New South Wales,
1862–1899
This publication was circulated weekly to all
police stations until 1974, when it began to be
circulated twice a month. It contains information
about crimes committed, criminals wanted,
criminals apprehended, prisoners discharged,
persons on good behaviour bonds, missing
persons, and police appointments and
promotions.
