The papers 1824–37 include in most cases a
calendar of persons for trial; gaol report; returns
of persons tried and sentenced; jury lists; and
presentments of grand juries on the state of the
water supply, gaols and public buildings.

Calendars of persons tried on Criminal
charges in Sydney Courts (Court books),
1835–97
Calendars of persons tried before the Central
Criminal Court, the Court of Quarter Sessions,
Darlinghurst, and the Supreme Court on criminal
charges. Calendars show: date of trial, name of
vessel in which the accused arrived in the Colony
[4/6448-49, X852] only, condition (that is ticket
of leave, bond), when and where committed,
type of jury (that is civil, military), charge,
sentence, date of verdict, remarks (such as
concerning alteration or commutation of
sentences). The name of the judge presiding is
shown in later volumes.
