The journals of the Surgeon Superintendents
usually contain details of persons (convict,
military, crew or passengers) treated by the
surgeon in the course of the voyage. Deaths are
also recorded. There may also be mention of
convicts' behaviour during the voyage and a
description of the voyage. The journals are
arranged alphabetically by ship and were copied
as part of the Australian Joint Copying Project.
