Acquisition of additional land.
MIPMWOMIPINP410
In terms of the Minister's approval, notices were served in
October, 1947, on the registered proprietors of certain land
required for school purposes at Milton. Considerable delay has
occurred due to failure of the owners to furnish advice as to whether
they are entitled to protection under the Re-establishment and
Employment Act, 1945.
It has now been ascertained that neither of the owners on
whom notices were served is entitled to such protection.
Papers regarding the Group School proposal, as affecting
Milton and Ulladulla Schools, are under submission to the Minister
and it has previously been decided that this scheme should not
proceed and the Inspector urged early action to secure additional
land for school purposes adjoining the present school at Milton.
