until 1993 at the earliest. In the meantime, additional resources
will be allocated to compliance activities to minimise NSW fee
evasion by the importation of lower taxed tobacco products from
Queensland.
The tobacco licence fee increase is expected to yield $86m in
1991/92 and $94m in a full year. The increase represents an extra
30-35 cents per pack of 30 cigarettes.
