came out, and then I missed the car".

Office to do so".
I said "Why didn't you report it yourself?"
He said "I had to take another car to take a Mr. Fiela to the
races". He was detained at the Detective Office till about
11 p.m. and then allowed to go. He never told M2 who the man
was whom he had the drink with or what his name was. The
following day I again saw Tatham at the Detective Office.
I said "Do you know a man named. Norman Twiss?" He said "No,
I don't".
I than showed him Twiss' photograph, and said "This
is the man I refer to".
He said "I don't know hlm".
I
then confronted him with Twiss, and I said to Tatham, "This
is Twiss, do you know him?"

Twiss sThis is Tatham, do you know him ?"
I said.to
He replied "No".
I then said to them both "I have information that you were
drinking together a week or two ago in an hotel in Oxford Hotel
is that so?"
Twiss said "No".
think he said "No fear".
Tatham replied "No".
They were then taken to the Central
Police Station and charged with the present charge. Neither
of them made any rep ly.
