Before I left him I ade
an appointment to meet him at 8 p.m. the same night.
I never
kept that appointment. I received a message and met him the
following day, Saturday the 13th, and. Marcus Clarke's at
12.30.
He then asked me if would leave Sydney and go with
him to Melbourne.
I said that I would go in a few days.
I made an appointment to meet him at 2.00 p.m. on the follo
wing
I met him then and he asked me to go with him to

said nothing that I remember. Ryan asked me if I would leave

bag. I told him that I could not leave that night. He

night, he said "Well we are leaving here to-day, we must go
to-day".
I am not sure about meeting them at the Railway
Station.
I can't say if I met him at the Railwqy Station.
I never illat him again that night (Monday).
I met him on
the Tuesday at a quarter/to three at the back of Marcus Clark
e's.
He was then with Jewey. We were speaking together for a few
minutes, and we left Jewey.
We went to McAllister's Hotel
to have a drink. He told rue that he and Jewey were going
to
try to leave for Melbourne that night. I said to him "What
about the luggage, do you still want me to take it?"
