Mr name is Edith Kelly.
I am also known as Ettie, but
Illy real name is Edith.
I have put a note on the statement
"out of which he gave me $;29.10.- in gold".
That referred
to the Money Order he changed.
That statement is correct.
The police now have it.
I sked Ryan about that.
Vrou&rit him a copy of an order I wrote myself. No one
dictated, that to me.
I never showed it to any police
officials.
Ryan wrote the order himself from my copy while
I was visiting him at Long bay. I have that order now in
my own possession at home.
I have never shown that to the
police.
The police have not tolci me that after I give
evidence they will hand me over i29.10.- on that order.
I was not told that I would get the i29.10.- back
at the
detective office.
I c&nnot tell who told me.

Melbourne. I wrote that out myself at my own home, since

I never signed the first portion.
When I came 'back I wrote
it all out in my own handwttting.
I treated it as two
statements.
I wrote them out since I returned from Melbourne.
Some days elapsed 'between sending in the first part of it
and
the second part. before sending in any statement I was
not
told that if I never mde a statement I would be arrested
as
an accessory. I was not told in that way
I was asked to
account for things in my possession, and my connection with
Ryan, and I was told. that if I could ilot satisfactori3,y
do so
I wasliable to be arrestea as an accessory.
Probably a dozen
were present when I was told that.
