I put the money into it myself.
It was at Richardson Street that the money was put into
it.
It was in possession of a Mrs. Brown when the police
got it.
Brown gave it to Mrs. brown. I made a verbal
statement at the Police Station when I first went there.
It must have been taken down, and lit was shewn to rue
after-
wards in typewriting when I came back from Melbourne.
I
looked, at it, and foul4 it wasnot absolutely correct, and
asked to be allowed to write it again in my own handwriting
and I aid so and signed it. This was the first statement.
I gave t
second statement some days after I had been back.
The two statements are together in the one I produce to-day.
I have made certain alterations in it. (Case containing
money put in and marked Ex. 15).
