Australia. I know the accused. Ryan. He made an application
to ma for a license as a motor driver.
I produce his
application.
I saw him write that. (Put in and marked
Exhibit 17).
It is dated 27th March, 1913.
That
application was granted and I have the butt. (Butt put in
and rur1(ed Ex. 18).

To Mr. 3. W. Aolgail :No test is required in Adelaide. It does not
follow that a man who gets a license can drive. Anyone
can apply for a license.
It is a license to drive a motor
vehicle.

I have know accused Ryan for years by sight. I found them
in the house of Charles Bridgeman.
