I said "Highway robbery at
Eveleigh, burglary at the Oxford Street Post Office, and
other safe robberies in the City".
He said "Is that all?"
Shortly afterwards Hooper came back, and handed me six
sovereigns.
"Yes".
I said "Is this your money?"
Accused replied.
We then took him to the Detective Office.
Next day
I and. Constable Hooper 04/444044/44 went along Parnell
Road, and in a garden on the opposite side of the fence to
where accused was arrested I found the automatic pistol
produced, it was then fully loaded, and was lying on the ground.
There were six cartridges in the magazine and one in the
chamber.

Atout two hours later
saw the accused at the Detective Office, and said to him "I
found thispistol in a yard at Strathrield on the opposite
