Renovation of School and Residence.

The Department's attention has been invited to
the condition of the school and residence premises
particularly the latter/ on several occasions. The teacher offer%
ed to pagr some of the rooms if the materials were supplied,
but in view of the fact that extensive work appeared to
be necessary, an estimate of £221.15. 0 'covering requirements
has been obtained from the Painting and ..•Lepai:e s staff.
The accompanying report indicP . _,e,s that besides
minor repairsi the floor at one point ia decaying whilst
gutters need to' be renewed. The Foreman Builder states
that he has no recollection of any extensive repairs being
carried out at this school during the last twenty-one years.
Mr. Inspector 'White reco,-Arik-Jnd,,i that the repairs mentioned be
carried out immediately.
In the whole of the circumstances and in view of
the fact that the centre is isolated, appro‘val might be
given for the Whole of the work required to be done now at a
total cost of £221.15. 0.
