Lenten Evening Prayer 2021 ENGLISH version - Book - Page 22
RHS:
You have come to the aid of your servant, Israel,
to remember the promise of mercy,
the promise made to our ancestors,
to Abraham and his children for ever.
All:
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the
Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall
be, world without end. Amen.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Intercessions

Throughout his life on earth, prayer was intimately
woven through the family and community life of
Jesus, as well as in his ministry and in his dying;
may prayer be part of our daily life so that we can
be aware that we live in the presence of God.
Jesus, during your life with Mary and Joseph, as a
child and as a teenager, prayer sustained love and
obedience, and shaped your wisdom and maturity;
help our families to be centres of prayer, so that
in our going out and in our coming home, we
will find Jesus our constant guest.
As a family, Jesus, you gathered with Mary and
Joseph and the village people in the synagogue to
hear the Scriptures, and in the Jerusalem
Temple to offer sacrifice;
help our families to pray as a family and to
gather with the community for the Sunday
Eucharist, where the sacrifice of praise is offered.
