All:
Jesus, you have seen our world devastated and
broken through the COVID 19 pandemic;
bring to all people a new gentleness of spirit and
action, so that we are thoughtful and respectful,
as we build a new world in the Spirit.
During 2020, Jesus, your Church experienced
a disconnection in parishes and communities
because of the pandemic;
rebuild us as communities of faith, as a Church
dependent upon each other, so that by prayer,
the works of charity, and with respect for our
common home, we remain consecrated to you.
Take to yourself all the dead, remembering in
particular those who died from COVID 19;
and bring to all who mourn that comfort which
you promised when you taught the crowd on the
Mount of the Beatitudes.
(If this prayer takes place of March 17th – St Patrick’s Day)
Leader:
All:
In the life of your Church, Jesus, you have raised
up women and men outstanding in holiness and
with a missionary spirit;
bless our Archdiocese as we honour our patron
St Patrick this day, and give to us a sense of our
own mission to proclaim you by deed and word
for the building up of the Kingdom of God.
Leader:
The merciful Jesus, in teaching us to pray, showed
us that we who receive God’s mercy must also be
merciful to those who offend us, and so we pray;
All: Our Father…

look upon us with graciousness.
