A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was singed on the 24th January 2023 between
the Pain Relief Foundation, Liverpool, UK (PRF) and The Department of Anaesthesia, Pain
and Intensive Care, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research,
Chandigarh, India (PGIMER) to facilitate the development of education and research
between the two premier institutes along the following four domains: Academic, Clinical,
Research and Quality Improvement.
PGIMER, Chandigarh is one of the premier most medical institutions of India. It has several
specialty and super speciality departments and is thoroughly engaged in providing
affordable patient care along with promoting cutting edge research.
Aim of the collaboration: To facilitate the development of continuing education in a
vibrant, multidisciplinary scientific environment devoted to therapeutic innovation and
routine clinical practice in the rapidly evolving field of Pain Medicine and development of
research in the future.
Objective of the collaboration: is to facilitate the development of education and research
between the above two premier institutes along the following four domains:
Academic, Clinical, Research and Quality Improvement.
