3. A balanced mind, because when you’re stressed-out, irritated, depressed or afraid, you breathe superficially – and thereby accumulate acid.
Meanwhile, stress makes the nervous system send blood (with oxygen and
nourishment) to your muscles, so you are ready for “fight or flight”. This inhibits your digestion, and it’s through the digestion that your body excretes
most waste products.
Say adios to acid … and farewell to obesity
I meet many women who complain about being too fat and who suffer from
headaches, bloated stomach and pain in for instance shoulders and knees.
Their skin lacks shine, their eyes lack glow, the hair has got thinner, they sleep
poorly and are never really happy, they don’t think they are pretty enough or
talented enough – and have become very anxious because of everything they
feel, they should live up to.
Therefore, Alkaline Living is very much about learning to appreciate yourself – and practicing being your own authority. If you eat and live in an alkaline fashion, you can ignore the stream of health gurus. You know your body
and can sense what is good for you and what gives you energy and happiness
as well as what makes your pain disappear.
Likewise, the unnecessary pounds will abandon the body along with the

body. The body stores fat as a buffer to keep the acid away from the vital
organs, so they won’t get destroyed.
When you restore your acidic-alkaline balance, your body will find its
natural, healthy weight. Because an alkaline body weighs neither too much
nor too little.
Keep watching your body’s acidity
All bodies have an acidity – a pH value – which affects everything from the
ability of the heart to pump blood and of the muscles to move the body, to
the ability of the brain and the nervous system to communicate.
