Student support
The SADAG UCT
Student Careline
The SADAG UCT Student
Careline provides a free
24-hour service to all
UCT staff and students:
0800 24 25 26 (free from
a landline) or SMS 31393 (for
a callback). The line is also
available to offer support
and advice to anyone who is
concerned about a student
who might be in distress.
Need a dispute resolved?
The Office of the Ombud
seeks to provide an informal
dispute resolution service to the
university community, including
all staff, current and past
students, visitors to the university
and contractors. The Office of the
Ombud operates outside of the
usual university academic and
administrative structures. It is
a neutral, independent, informal
and confidential resource to
facilitate fair and equitable
resolutions to concerns and
problems raised by any member
of the university community.
As such, this facility is intended
to enhance the general well-being
of the UCT community.
