why it’s time to play with your food again
If you were raised right, you were told that it wasn’t proper to play with your food.
However, some of us decided not to follow that rule. Instead, we built elaborate
structures out of dried spaghetti noodles and marshmallows. Our imaginations were
vivid and our creativity knew no limits. Then, suddenly, we were 22 and we found
ourselves standing in our own kitchens (often staring into an empty pantry) and
forced to adult. Just as sudden, those childish looking masterpieces won’t cut it
anymore; it’s time to move on to a more polished presentation. Luckily, it’s still okay
to play with your food. We’ve found some ideas for edible gifts that are just as much
fun to make as they are to receive.
packaging your gifts
These edible gifts were selected with simple wrapping in mind. We recommend
packaging them in a mason jar or even a cute cellophane bag. Get creative and have
fun. Invest in ribbon and twine that can be used for any occasion. It doesn’t have
to be perfect, but it does need to come from the heart. That’s always the secret
ingredient to any edible gift.
