attract bees
The plight of our declining bee population has been in the
news over recent years. Do your part by providing a habitat for bumble bees. It can be a s simple as a pile of grass
cuttings in a corner of your garden. You can use a small
pile of sticks (bamboo is perfect) or even purchase
a “bee hotel”.
Male Bumble bees don’t sting, females can, but have no
aggression and no hive to protect so are timid and docile
and will only sting as a last resort. Bumble bee stings do
not really hurt as the sting is smooth.
