APPRENTICESHIPS ARE
THE FUTURE
In February we had National Apprenticeship Week 2022, this was the 15th year celebrating
Apprentices. We are proud of all our Apprentices and would like to say well done and thank you for
your efforts and hard work! During National Apprenticeship week 2022 we received lots of feed back
and words of praise for each of our #teamPhoenix apprentices.
With the importance of investing in future
generations Phoenix have announced the intention
to create a state-of-the-art training academy for
apprentices in Derbyshire.
We are in the early stages of planning but are excited
to see it take shape and create new talent that truly
understands the reality of working in the
construction industry.
A recent published article, explained these plans and
explained the importance of apprenticeships for
young people.
We currently have 20 apprentices and continue to
grow. Group Chairman Christian Watson is
passionate about apprenticeships and shared;
"2021 was an incredible year for Phoenix and it makes me so happy
that despite the massive growth, our apprentice intake grew by an
even greater proportion to turnover. Investing in the most important
asset to any construction company - the next generation."
We would like to give a special
mention to Apprentice Oliver
Thomas who is going from strength
to strength as he works and learns.
Site Manager Neil Finch had some
lovely words to say about him "Oliver
is a great lad, he is keen, punctual,
reliable and an asset to the team."
It is wonderful to see our #teamphoenix
Apprentices doing so well and with this
we would like to highlight Apprentice
Jordan Crofts. Brickwork Construction
Director Jason Brockett says, "Jordan is
a hard working lad and is becoming a
great part of our team. Keep up the
good work Jordan!"
