2023 Resort Brochure - Final 03.03.23 - Flipbook - Page 3
When you drive through the tunnel of longleaf pines in the Sandhills of North Carolina, your pulse slows. Your mind stills.
You begin to move at a more leisurely pace. That’s when you know you’re mentally ready to take on the challenge of Donald Ross.
Few courses meant as much to Ross as those he played himself. He designed the Mid Pines course in as part of a private club for
himself and his associates. He built Southern Pines Golf Club early in his career, in the heart of town, for locals. And Pine Needles,
originally designed as part of a residential development, was where he played most of his golf the last 10 to 15 years of his life. One
hundred years later, all three Ross courses, meticulously restored by Kyle Franz, still bring out the best golf in every player — every
single day.
