INSTALLATION OF

MOISTURE BARRIER
You’ll need: A handsaw or circular
saw, jigsaw or renovator tool, rubber
mallet, tapping block, tape measure,
pencil, square, sliding bevel (for
angled corners that aren’t 45 degrees)
and a Stanley knife.
1.To determine the square meterage
of flooring, measure the area and
add 10 per cent for cutting and
wastage. Note: the extra 10% is
not required for square meterage of
underlay.

2.Make sure the floor is smooth, dry
and clean. Use a level to check
the surface. Remove any skirtings.
Use a handsaw or renovator tool to
undercut the door jambs and trim
doors if necessary.
3. Lay the underlay and secure with
the double-sided tape overlap. Lay
in the opposite orientation to the
planned layout of your finished
flooring.
4. L ay the flooring using the easy
click system, offsetting end joins
of consecutive rows by a minimum
of 300mm. Make sure you leave
the recommended expansion gaps
around walls, floor level windows
and doors. These will be concealed
by skirtings or trims.
