A Taste
of History
Settle into your seat at the historic Elkridge Furnace Inn
and enjoy fine foods while surrounded by history, art,
and natural beauty.
Owned by husband and wife,
Dan and Donna Wecker, Elkridge
Furnace Inn is unlike any dining
experience. Upon arriving, you’ll
find yourself immersed in the
natural beauty of Patapsco Valley
State Park. Guests are invited
to explore the historic homestead
where you’ll discover beautiful
views of the river, buildings dating
back to the 1700s, and organic
gardens. The property includes
The Tavern, where the restaurant
is located, as well as The Manor
House, a centuries-old mansion
for weddings and events. The
Garden House is another option
for weddings and events and
offers a more rustic, intimate feel.
Dining rooms are decorated
with a nod to the building’s past,
including art that portrays the
colonial history of the land.
Outdoor dining is also available
on the porches and patios under
cozy string lights in secluded,
wooded surroundings. The elegant,
yet comfortable setting provides
the perfect backdrop for an
occasion of any kind.
hand-made artisanal cheeses and
smoked meats prepared right
on the property.
“Our menu is a wonderful
combination of classically prepared
dishes and creative possibilities,”
said Chef Dan. “We make food the
old fashioned, time-honored way
using locally-sourced ingredients,
often grown on our own land.”
Listed on the National Register
of Historic Places, Dan and Donna
lovingly restored the property more
than 30 years ago, turning it into
the awe-inspiring place it is today.
Their passion and pride carry on
the long tradition of hospitality
at Elkridge Furnace Inn.
Donna adds, “It has served as a
welcoming venue for both the big
and small things worth celebrating
in life, from baby showers and
weddings, to birthdays, and more.”
An impressive menu featuring
fine French cuisine offers visitors
a taste of high-end dining in a
relaxed atmosphere. Some of their
specialties include Chef Dan’s
Cream of Baltimore Soup and locally
sourced charcuterie boards with
