the country. You’ll find your typical
American pastimes, like baseball,

are also several local organizations
committed to keeping the spirit of
sports alive through more unique
activities. Savage Fencing Club
provides professional instruction
and tournaments for all skill levels
in the sport of fencing. Their newly
renovated facility, located in Historic
Savage Mill, is the perfect training
center for beginners and national
champions alike. Cricket is another
sport that has grown dramatically
throughout the area in recent years.
The Howard County Cricket League
nurtures that growth by organizing
local tournaments and friendly
competition within the sport.
