Digital Technology: Digi Tech Tutorials
Action 1.C.1
8 DigiTech tutorials
PPLI offered MFL teachers opportunities to upskill, and to learn about new digital teaching tools which would
support their practice in the classroom. This was particularly relevant during the pandemic when teachers had
to adapt to emergency remote teaching and learning. Teachers sought strategies and expert guidance and in
response to the need, PPLI developed a project on ideas for activities during breakout rooms as well as
facilitating the sharing of resources and best practice.
In 2021, PPLI facilitated digital technology tutorials and supports in:
• Activities for breakout rooms
• Chatterpix
• Flipgrid
• Spiral
• Teach Vid
• Creating a video with PowerPoint
• Twitter
• Genially

It supports language teachers with self-evaluation and developing
digital practice in the classroom. Inspired by and rooted in the
document Digital Learning Framework for Post-Primary Schools, Digi
Tech for Languages helps language teachers and MFL departments
