MFL Communities of practice take place all over Ireland. They
provide opportunities for MFL teachers to come together locally to
discuss, share and exchange ideas on language issues of common
interest. In 2021, the PPLI communities of practice were online. 55
meetings took place with 244 teachers participating. PPLI
associates facilitate the meetings but the regional members decide
on the themes. In 2021, there were also CoPs dedicated to Special
Education Needs specific to the MFL classroom and to
#ThinkLanguages.
