Say ‘Yes’ to Fun
with Languages
The pack also contains lots of fun
items to help promote and celebrate
all of the languages used in your
school and community. This will help
build awareness, support greater
inclusion and appreciation of diversity.
Use the Photo Prop to help spread the word!
Help get the Say ‘Yes’ to Languages message out to local media
– whether it is in the school newsletter, social media, local paper
or radio station. Take photos of the children with the photo prop,
passports, badges and stickers and share them. You’ll find a
mock-up press release on www.LanguagesConnect.ie/Primary
if you need help with what copy to send to the local paper with
your photos!
Posters
Bring awareness to the diversity of languages used
in the school. Write them all into the space provided
on the poster and display outside reception or in a
transit area for all pupils to see!
Bunting
A fun display of the call to action Say ‘Yes’ to
Languages can remind students and teachers that
languages are important in so many ways and we
should embrace them at all stages of our lives.
Stickers
An engaging way for the pupils to try out saying
‘Yes’ to a variety of languages. They can decorate and
personalise their work and Language Passports.
