4. Yellow group – more abled Polish students:
a) Listen to the song and find the adjective describing what Autumn is like.
b) Arrange the phrases (idioms) from the word jumble (written on the leaves) and match them to their meaning.
5. Additional work for any group that finishes earlier than the others: Put the words in the correct order to make a
sentence based on a well-known Polish tongue twister. Stick the objects mentioned in the sentence to the poster
(jewellery made from rowan).
The work on vocabulary in the later part of the lesson is also differentiated by level in this concept. Ab initio learners
use a board game (Photo 7) (which they can create themselves depending on the topic they are working on) to
consolidate the introduced words in a more enjoyable way. More advanced learners work on the idiomatic use of the
words they have learned (Photo 5).
