CND™ Shellac™
has received a scientifically
proven claim of being ‘breathable’
Nails do not breath, but your nail coating can!
How ‘breathable’ is created
During the CND™ Shellac™ curing process the
solvents in the formula evaporate from each layer
forming a network of tiny tunnels throughout the
entire Shellac™ coating. These tunnels act as an
important highway for solar oil to penetrate
through the layers to condition nails and during
removal the tunnels allow acetone as an active
ingredient to flow through the coating - breaking
up the coating as it travels down to the ultimate
releasing point, which facilitates the famous
butterfly removal.
Many consumers believe
that nail coatings can
inhibit their own nails from breathing, but in fact it is
to the contrary as the natural nail isn’t able to
breathe since it is made up of dead layers of
keratin. Natural nails are vulnerable to brittleness
and breakdown if not coated and protected.
A breathable coating of CND Shellac not only
protects the nail for 3+ weeks but it allows the
transmission of moisture and oxygen for long term
healthy nails.
