THE DEPUTY GRAND
SUPERINTENDENT:
JAMES MARSH
Brethren and Companions,
I am very pleased to say that the
Royal Arch in West Kent has
started the year in an exciting
position; it is so encouraging to
see the numbers of candidates
that are being lined up for
Exaltation into our wonderful
order – thank you Companions. I
also want to thank the RA
Membership Development Team
for their diligence in highlighting
the benefits of joining the Royal
Arch to all of the Brethren within
our Province; we are now
beginning to see the benefits of
all their hard work and I hope
that this year we will see a good
upturn in our RA membership.
The team are not resting on their
laurels; they continue to identify
opportunities for highlighting the
Royal Arch to those who have
not yet taken that fourth and final
element in their Masonic journey.
For instance, we recently hosted
a very successful demonstration
of a streamlined RA ritual (the
Savage Ritual) – 140 of our
Companions
attended
this
demonstration
and
several
Chapters have expressed an
interest in using the ritual. I
would
like
to
thank
Alan
Wondzinski and the Provincial
Stewards
for
making
the
8Savage9
evening
such
a
success.
Further, in April the Province will
be launching 8Archway9, Supreme
Grand Chapter9s equivalent of the
Pathway - a tool for assisting
Chapter members to help shape
the future of their Chapters, grow
their membership and enhance
their members9 experience. All
Royal Arch Liaison Officers,
Chapter Membership Officers,
Visiting Officers and Scribes E
will by now have received their
invitation to this most important
event.
On another matter, I am very
pleased with the announcement
that we are to hold this year9s
Provincial Grand Chapter meeting
at
Bromley.
The
Grand
Superintendent has listened to
those Companions who have
found it difficult to attend the
meeting in the last few years
because of the logistics of getting
into London in time for the
morning meeting. This year9s
meeting is already generating
considerable interest – we intend
to make it a meeting to remember
and certainly one that should not
be missed. Tickets for this event
will be announced in the near
future. It is anticipated that this
event
will
be
heavily
oversubscribed – early booking is
therefore advised.
Brethren, should you not yet be a
member of the Royal Arch, now is
a very exciting time to join –
details can be obtained from
provramo@westkentmasons.org.u
k.
On a different, and personal
matter, I am very much looking
forward to 18th April when I will
have the great privilege of
Installing my very good friend
Assistant Provincial Grand Master
Andrew Waddington into the
Chair of the West Kent Masters9
Lodge. Andrew and I became
APGMs on the same day and
have worked together closely
since. The meeting at West Kent
Masters9 will be made extraspecial when the Provincial Grand
Master will congratulate our
Provincial Grand Director of
Ceremonies, Daniel Unthank at
the finish of his 8Mega-Marathon9.
If you have not been to West Kent
Masters9 Lodge before – this is
the meeting to attend (details
from secretary@westkentmasters
.org).
Brethren and Companions, thank
you for your continued support of
the Royal Arch in West Kent, I
feel very proud and privileged to
be
your
Deputy
Grand
Superintendent.
Very best regards
James
