Westwood 8046 Lodge were made aware of the needs of a local mum. Mrs. F is a 36 year old
mum of three children, a 4 year old and twin baby girls. Her husband works all of the hours
that he can to provide for his family. Mrs. F became blind giving birth to the twins.
The Lodge was informed that this blind mum walked the children to take the 4 year old to
school every day in a broken buggy tied together with scarves.
The family couldn't afford to pay for a new one. The school helped out where they could
with meals, school uniform, books and food bank. Mum required a tandem pushchair in order
to use her cane alongside the pushchair when walking.
The picture shows the new pushchair, purchased by the lodge for this family, costing about
£250. This small gesture has made the world of difference to this family and to the children.
