“Becoming a competent Auctioneer equips you with a confident demeanour, excellent public speaking skills and
a sense of humour, emotional intelligence and instils charisma and charm. A successful Auctioneer needs to
understand and be competent in all aspects of the law underlying the Auctions platform.
It is running a business - and the business is you, the Auctioneer.
It is imperative to be under the umbrella of the peak body for real estate in Queensland, REIQ, where, as an
Auctioneer you are kept abreast of changes in law, compliance, as well as having the invaluable opportunity of
entering Auction competitions to showcase your talent – an opportunity for personal growth and to gain
invaluable skills. You always come away with a platform of areas for growth and further personal development.
My underlying philosophy is that of using my acquired talent in assisting charities and fundraising programmes
– I love giving back to our community. “
