One week, the Lord told me to look up the
difference between a Zoo & a Circus.
Immediately intrigued, I began my search.
Zoo:
An establishment which maintains a collection of
wild animals, typically in a park or gardens, for
study, conservation, or display to the public.
Circus:
a traveling company of performers who put on
diverse entertainment shows typically in a large
tent, in a series of different places.
In ministry, I have seen both Keepers and
Carnies.
Everybody wants the glitz and glam of
Christian fame, but that doesn’t come without
a high price.
If the cost is surrender to Jesus, it's worth it but
if its people pleasing your way to the top, you
will go far but may not recognize yourself at the
end.
You can hustle trying to become the next best
or you can realize that your best is being true
to who God has made you to be.
Simply waiting on God to hand you the keys,
rather than stealing them to open the doors
yourself makes all the difference.
"Remember that the Lord will reward each one
of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves
or free." -Ephesians 6:8
It is better to be used for educating people on
the love of God than to be entertainment that
catches the eye but not the heart.
