A Thames and Tributaries Plastic Blitz
17th - 25th September 2022 working with catchment
partners, the Environment Agency, community groups
and Rotary 1090
This event has three key aims:
1) To complete a catchment wide clean up of plastic
pollution.
2) If possible to collect data on the most common
plastic items found within the catchment that can be
used to educate groups, create publicity and lobby
business.
3) To join up multiple community groups.
WE NEED YOU TO REGISTER IN PRINCIPLE ASAP
•As this is a part of a EU scientific study, Clubs will be
encouraged where possible to select a small area and
collect data to be added to the study. This is a great
opportunity for schools and other environment groups to
get involved
•When you register you will identify the area your Club
intends to clear, other groups along the Thames may
also be interested. The entry process encourages
working together.
